Hypo alum Toner ( Sepia )

  • Cold water :- 700ml
  • Sodium thiosulphate anhydrous :- 120 grammes Dissolve thoroughly, then add this solution :
  • Water at 70 C :- 200ml
  • Potassium alum crystal :- 30 grammes Slowly add the following, you must include the milk-like precipitate, while stirring rapidly :
  • Cold water :- 20ml.
  • Silver Nitrate crystal :- 1 gramme.
  • Sodium Chloride :- 1 gramme.
  • Water to :- 1000ml.

This is a single solution toner. Prints take on a chocolate brown tone after approx. 12 - 15 minutes. Do not use this toner over 49 C
